In Kenya, UNDP aims to address poverty, inequality and exclusion in an integrated and area based approach supporting communities and government to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Our programmes are delivered in consultation and partnership with a broad range of stakeholders including; the Government of Kenya, civil society organisations, independent bodies, development partners and other UN agencies.

UNDP continues to work closely with public institutions at national and county levels in Kenya and is committed to strengthening its’ programmatic footprint through deployment of staff and resources, while integrating SDGs in the County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs) to address inequalities and equitable access to resources. UNDP remains committed to working with communities, the Government of Kenya and development partners in leapfrogging human development and economic growth, with the aim of leaving no one behind; and reaching the furthest left behind first.
