"Poverty Analysis and Government's Vision 2030 "The senior economist Mr Seraphin Njagi is the focal point person at UNDP-Kenya, in the formulation of Economic Recovery Strategy. Subsequent upon the completion of this strategy, the country office supported the preparation of the government position papers on Vison 2030 for wealth and employment creation to further enhance economic development in the medium term framework. Donor confidence in this Vision 2030 has seen an increase in external assistance .Click to access the Kenya Central Bureau of Statistics Poverty and reform monitoring The programme supported the institutionalization of monitoring and evaluation system and monitorable indicators for tracking the ERS and the impact of policies on poverty reduction.It also provided capacity building in terms of equipment, hardware and software for this purpose at the ERS secretariat as well as the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Cabinet Office. Consumer Price Index December 2007 Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.8 per cent from 233.28 points in November 2007 to 239.81 points in December 2007. Month-on-month overall inflation rate accelerated from 11.8 per cent in November 2007 to 12.0 per cent in December 2007.
