The Outreach programme publishes and distributes (on request to office) productions that contain sections of a macro-economic nature, such as the Country Cooperation Framework, technical reports, working documents, speeches, etc. It ensures the delivery level of macroeconomic policy delivery of instruments notably the National Human Development Report, Social-Economic briefs into policy dialogue. Policy dialogue and coordination with government, development partners and stakeholders

This activity promotes upstream policy dialogue and advocacy for poverty eradication and sustainable human development . It is engaged with networking and partnership building for learning and knowledge management by promoting and coordinating policy dialogue with the government, partners and key stakeholders on links between macro-economics, poverty and reforms.

Forums are being organized for linking the Resident Representative/Resident Coordination role in policy dialogue and engaging in strategic partnership building with development partners at the country level through Government of Kenya/donor meetings of the Donor Coordination Group and Kenya Coordination Group. Engagement in the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper sectoral and thematic consultative meetings are held to share information for better response to emerging issues and shifts in policy and priorities of various sectors.

Human Development Reports

The Human Development Report is an annual global publication that reviews the status and progress on different facets of human development. More than 100 developing countries have prepared Human Development Reports in the last decade. The first HDR in Kenya was published in 1999 and focused on the themes of gender and poverty. The Human Development Report is devoted to assessing where the greatest problems are, analyzing what needs to be done to reverse these setbacks and offering concrete proposal on how to accelerate progress everywhere towards achieving these goals.

Human Development Reports in Kenya are produced by UNDP regularly, providing high quality, long-term insight into thematic or sectoral concerns that are of an overriding nature within the evolving historical context of Kenya.

Costing of MDGs

This activity assesses the resources required to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and targets of the Millennium Declaration.
