The purpose of a County Mining Vision (CMV) is to ensure industrialization and development through the utilization of the country’s mineral resources to catalyze diversified industrial development. This is in line with the Kenya Vision 2030 which aims at harnessing the mineral resources for industrial development.

Kenya has started the process of preparing the CMV with the Ministry of Mining leading the process. The Multi Sectoral Technical Working Group (MS-TWG) has been constituted to spearhead and coordinate the exercise.
